Fly in fly out comes to Narrabri

It would be impossible for anyone driving out of Narrabri (central north western NSW) to Mount Kaputar National Park to miss the expanding big Mac installation, a purpose built accommodation hub for miners working in the regional area.

First impressions are wow, as in this is new! And it is, with new units under completion as I post this entry.

Constructed on stilts in deference to the periodic flooding of the nearby Namoi River, these 'fringe dwelling' modern dongas (single mens quarters) are welcomed by some and derided by others.
