Approaching dusk, Uralla back road, New England Tablelands, NSW

Speed photography, as in the best that a Canon EOS 500D can do through the window while barrelling along a back country road. Nothing to write home about but fun to look back on as a record of a swing through the great Australian countryside at one of the most evocative times of day to be taking photographs.

Ethereal clouds, overhead powerlines, the last legs of the sun gilding the stubble, and that lovely avenue of trees. Someone's approach avenue or a windbreak? Who cares.

What country!

The late afternoon shadows creeping in, slowly engulf the last warm glow of the sun's rays
