Sydney Harbour Bridge open for buses, taxis and hire cars

Work has started on scraping back the road surface to facilitate waterproofing and resurfacing.

Lots of heavy vehicles are parked along the western side of the bridge where some evidence of the scraping back process can be seen.

As of Saturday morning, traffic is moving across the bridge in both directions, with one lane open to both north and south traffic, including contractor vehicles associated with the works, buses, taxis, hire cars and the odd commercial people mover (a wine tour bus).
