Smoky sunrise as central NSW burns

Not your usual sunrise as smoke haze masks the sun's customary early morning brilliance

After a weekend of fuel load management across the Sydney Basin and beyond, the particulate haze creates an environmental filter that dulls the rising sun.


Looking east towards Bradleys Head, Macquarie Lighthouse and the Tasman Sea

Looking for all the world like a spectacular moon on the rise, the sun makes its way into a smoke riddled early morning sky.
