Picturing the Opera House from beneath Sydney Harbour Bridge

This is a 'slice' of a portrait format graphic of Sydney Opera House which I completed in the early '90s as a water colour pencil graphic before scanning it and reworking it in Photoshop.

Let's see how Photoshop filters convert it into a much more attractive renditon by darkening and accentuating the values, as top artists instinctively do.

Here's what Photoshop's Fresco filter looks like and what a difference! It's so much more evocative and visually 'meaningful'.

This is how the graphic looks if you 'wrangle' it through the Photshop Filter - Sponge.

Frankly I can't go past the Watercolour filter version above if I have my druthers!

And this is what you get if you apply the Sprayed Strokes Photoshop filter. Hmmm. Not sure about this one but viva la diversity.
