Happy Blue Mountains crossing 1813

Posted by barbara on May 14, 2013

An hour or so's drive from Sydney (Australia), the Blue Mountains speak for themselves when it comes to grandeur of the geological variety. The blurry image above, and its 'doctored' non-identical 'twin' below, capture the cliffy-ness of the deeply eroded sandstone country.

While happy at the time with the original digital image, I much prefer its edgier variation, courtesy of Photoshop's Filters function, Watercolour.

In selecting this filter, in effect I was giving my original effort the 'big squint' treatment, in doing so intensifying the hues and saturation effect.
