A document specialist, I am well versed in the start to finish process of preparing high quality documents for publication, with my responsibilities including content collation, text writing, research, photo sourcing, brand application, as well as liaising with graphic designers and printers.

My output includes a range of internal communications including printed and digital enewsletters and content for staff intranet site, as well as comprehensive annual reports.

I have also been involved in developing and rolling out corporate identity at the local government level.

Interpreting natural and cultural heritage

With over 35 years experience in natural and cultural heritage interpretation, I have a background in landform studies and environmental sciences. I have worked as an Interpretation Officer for a range of agencies including NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service; the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (previously Environment Australia), Parks Victoria, the Conservation Commission of the Northern Territory, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service, Tasmania.

In the early part of my career I delivered interpretive services for nature-based local, state and federal government agencies in the form of visitor centre and museum exhibitions and displays, publications, outdoor interpretive signs and audiovisuals.

Preparing interpretive plans and strategies

I have experience preparing interpretive strategies and plans for the local government sector, including to satisfy development application conditions of release for developments on sites with heritage significance.
